Going Eco

Embracing sustainable cosmetics in a growing eco-conscious world

In the ever-changing world of makeup artistry, 2024 marks a shift in consumerism, with more and more makeup wearers opting for eco-conscious alternatives.

Growing trends are showing a change in consumer behaviour, with individuals opting for sustainable products over traditional makeup purchases.

In my work as a makeup artist, I’m seeing an increasing amount of clients requesting cruelty free, vegan and products with natural ingredients.

Leading the change in 2024 are makeup brands committed to changing the game. We’re seeing more brands prioritise cruelty free testing, responsible sourcing of ingredients and eco-friendly packaging. From innovative formulations to packaging made from recycled materials, these conscious choices are transforming our makeup bags, and the industry.

Let me share with you some of my very favourite makeup brands changing the eco game, and those I love to reach for for my eco-conscious clients. Think refillable packaging, vegan ingredients and super sustainable creative alternatives to assist in your change to a more sustainable makeup bag.
