Can you give us an insight into how the brand began?

I have always loved fashion from a young age and always know’n I would want to work in fashion. From a young age I have always wanted to be a fashion designer but my style has always evolved through growing up. So when it came to the type of style I would want as my clothing brand it’s always been something very important that I wanted to love, and for it not to change. Even though my style has changed, my go to style has always been effortlessly chic and western American vibes where I have always felt my best when dressing like that. I also realised there was a gap in the market for dressing effortlessly chic with an edge and dressing in an eco aware way, all at the same time. So I decided to create the perfect brand for girls like myself looking for these keys things in a brand today.

There’s such a strong American theme to the brand. Where did this love for America stem from?

I have honestly loved American style for as long as I can remember! I’m not too sure why I love it so much but I feel the lifestyle and the fashion is very close to my heart. I have loved watching American films from back in the day. I'm also a huge fan of American style photography.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

My inspiration comes a lot from photographers work I have come to realise! I love following people like Kate Bellm, Rhys Framphton , Sarah bah bah. I love photographers that shoot girls more wild side to them mostly. I am also super inspired by designers such as Anine bing, her brand is very similar to mine but more for the older generation.

There’s some beautiful items on the website, do you have a favourite piece?

Honestly I love them all but my go to item has to be the Charlie top. What I love about the brand is that it’s my true style and I find myself throwing on the pieces everyday and always have to say to my fiancé how I need to stop wearing the same top everyday as I love it so much. The pieces are super easy to wear and versatile making them perfect to just throw on!

Are there some shoots coming up on the horizon you can tell us about?

I have some super exciting ideas for next collections coming up. Due to Covid times, everything has had a slight delay on, but also makes you think more creative about how and what you want to create! I’m going to for sure do a sick shoot in the future for a western vibe collection, but that’s all I’m saying for now.

Any advice for anyone who's looking to start up their own fashion brand?

Honestly I would say make sure you are really into what you're creating as a brand. Everyone has to start from the beginning and there will be times when you change your mind on what to have for your brand. It’s all about test and trail and I would say wait until you have that gut feeling that tells you it’s exactly what you want as a brand. You will also have times where people with tell you that you can’t do it or you're making a mistake. Don’t listen to negative people and if you have the drive and passion then nothing can stop you, I believe thats all you need.
